The El Reno Wranglers recently held their October meeting, with Trisha Duncan opening with the flag salute and Gary Sorrells leading in prayer.  

The group discussed the upcoming Veterans Day Parade and the annual Thanksgiving dinner/auction set for Nov. 16. 

The club nominated and voted in new officers and board members. They are as follows: Julie Huber, president; Gary Sorrells, vice president; Betty Johnston, historian; Queen Trisha Duncan and Princess Lidy Novak.

Maple A Honor Roll students are Fredrick Tredway, Payton Haley, Creelie Hamons, Lillian Bollinger, Carson Smith, Claire Lorenzen, Maverick Lorenzen, Cash Swigart, Kane Smith, Addison Holden, Eli Ritch, Blakely McLemore, Jimi Davis, Abel Overholser, Ella Ratliff, Carder Holden, Elizabeth Eisenhour, Easton Hughey, Riley McKee, Tripp Davis, Harrison Cullen, Otis Sears, Atley Walker, Madison Basler and Luken Meschberger.

Okarche September Students of the Month are Callie Cramer, Andrew Walker, Brooklyn Easton,  Arron Osborn, Bailee Ahlden and Cohen Mueggenborg.

Okarche September Lion and Lioness honorees are seniors Jett Mueggenborg and Kate Baustert.

El Reno High School Partners Club recently served as “Fans in the Stands” for Special Olympics Unified Horseshoes held at the Yukon Community Center.

The Underwood Club of Oklahoma Home and Community Education met recently with Renee’ Schweitzer serving as hostess. Other members attending were Janan Fletcher, Ann Ricketts and Vicki Duncan, along with guest, Sheila Peters.

Duncan called the meeting to order. Ricketts led in the Pledge of Allegiance, with Fletcher giving the treasurer’s report.

It was noted the club received a check for $100 for its booth and cookie jar entries.

Maple September Students of the Month are Rayelynn Talamante, kindergarten; Hensley Elwood, second grade; Emery Reuter, first grade; and Baylor Bomhak, pre-kindergarten.

Also, Tripp Davis, sixth grade; Wade Curtis, third grade; Otis Sears, fourth grade; Dean Davis, fifth grade; Rowdy Penwright, eighth grade; and Jentry Cullen, seventh grade.

Riverside September Citizens of the Month are Jace Abshire, Sassy Brushwood, Lathen Childers, Maggie Calzada, Sean Funk, Aubree Warren and Oliver Wyrick.

Also, Leighton Dunford, Eli Bradley, Arellie Ramos, Catalina Ramos, Samson Baker, Camila Torres, Paulina Calzada, Bellamy Bateholts, Jolene Marquez, Emery Christianson, Sayre Jackson and Danielle Slechta.

Canadian County 4-H members accept a proclamation designating October as Canadian County 4-H Month.

The Canadian County 4-H program, with 23 clubs and 41 certified volunteers, has reached more than 10,000 families nationwide this year, virtually and in-person.
