Eleanore Madbull

Funeral services for Eleanore Madbull were held Thursday at the Emergency Response Center in Concho with Rev. Gerald Panana officiating. Burial followed at the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Eleanore died Oct. 8, 2022, at Windsor Hills Nursing Center in Oklahoma City. She was born Nov. 23, 1941, in Calumet. She was a case worker for Tribal Elder Care and a member of the Native American Church and the Indian Methodist Church.

Barbara Ventris

Body

Funeral services for Barbara Jean (Jeanie) Ventris of Minco were held Monday at First Baptist Church in Minco, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Jeanie died Oct. 6, 2022, at Agape Road Hospice House in Bethany. She was born Nov. 14, 1941, in Minco. She was raised in the Minco community, helping with the family dairy farm. She graduated from Minco High School in 1959.

Jeanie worked as a bank teller while serving as a Cub Scout den mother.

She was a lifelong member of Minco First Baptist Church.

Marlene Young

Marlene Young, 83, of Oklahoma City, passed away Oct. 2, 2022, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital.

Marlene was born July 4, 1939, to Dewitt Talmage Keesee and Ruby Lorene Denton Keesee in Mangum, Oklahoma. Marlene married Gene Young on June 4, 1966, in Fort Smith, Ark. Gene worked for the El Reno Federal Reformatory. Upon their moving to El Reno, Marlene opened Marlene’s Beauty Salon on Sunset Drive in El Reno in 1966. She closed her shop in 2016. She was proud to have operated a beauty salon in El Reno for 50 years.

Patsy Clem

Graveside services for Patsy Lou Finch Clem of Yukon were held Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Patsy passed away Sept. 30, 2022, in Yukon. She was born Aug. 20, 1941, in Cogar. Patsy was raised in the Cogar community, graduating from Binger High School in 1961. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha with a degree in elementary education and home economics. She attained her master’s degree from Central State University.

Lucille Todd

Funeral services for Lucille Tabor Todd were held Friday at Geary First Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Mule officiating. Burial was in the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Lucille passed away Oct. 2, 2022, in El Reno. She was born Dec. 11, 1939, in Clinton, and grew up in Greenfield. Lucille loved to sew, loved beading and making shawls, cooking for everyone and playing golf.

Survivors include her children, JoElla Hamm and Joseph E. Todd Jr., and stepson, Curtis Big Eagle; sister, Peggy Dawson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marietta Cheryl Poe

Body

Funeral services for Marietta Cheryl Poe will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 in the Benson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Fryar officiating. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Marietta passed away Sept. 26, 2022, at her home in El Reno at the age of 77. She was born Aug. 24, 1945, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Parris Island, S.C. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1963 and attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education.

Louis Dorey

Body

Louis Dorey was born in Poteau in 1933 to Cleo Mildred (Hunter) Dorey and Louis Joseph Dorey.

On Sept. 26, 2022, he passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years old.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 30 at Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Tuttle.

When Mary Sue and Louis met through a mutual friend, she was living in Panama and he lived in Poteau.

The couple spent 47 years living in El Reno where they raised their children.

Felecia Kearney

Funeral services for Felecia Kearney of Chickasha will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 29 at Shepard Street Christian Church, under the direction of Brown-Thomas Funeral Home in Chickasha.

Felecia passed away Sept. 19, 2022, at Grady Memorial Hospital, Chickasha. She was born July 22, 1954, in Oklahoma City.

She was an LPN for over 45 years. She worked for 33 years at Parkview Hospital in El Reno and retired from nursing at Grady Memorial Hospital in 2018.

She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church, El Reno.
