Florence O’Hara

Florence Juliann O’Hara, 86, passed away Oct. 28, 2022, in Yukon.

Florence was born at home on Nov. 27, 1935, in Bessie, Okla., to Emil and Alvina (Bolinger) Mueller. She would tell stories of her early years during the Dust Bowl when her mother would put a wet blanket over her for protection.

Although the dust would get inside the house because of no insulation, her parents never spoke of the hard times. Florence was one of three daughters alongside her sisters, Volina and Kathleen.

Ronald McCracken

Body

A memorial service for Ronald Clay McCracken will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Michael Moss officiating.

Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Ronald died Oct. 21, 2022, in Edmond at his son’s home. He was born Nov. 27, 1939, in El Reno and worked as a lineman for OG&E for over 25 years.

He enjoyed fishing with his friends at Lake El Reno, motorcycles, watching football, horses, spending time with his family and making others laugh.

Catherine Louise Duncan

Catherine Louise Duncan, 75, of Yukon, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022. She was born Feb. 28, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Alfred and Agnes (Ratterman) Steinbruck.

Catherine married Lonnie Jewell Duncan on June 15, 1965.

They made their home in El Reno where she held numerous positions including Schulte Oil Company and OEMA. Her passion was service to others, and she spent countless hours volunteering at The Lord’s Harvest in El Reno.

Virgil Allen

Body

Graveside services for Virgil Ray Allen of Minco were held Thursday at the Pocasset Cemetery, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home, Minco.

Virgil died Oct. 25, 2022, at his home. He was born Sept. 10, 1938, in Cogar. He was raised in the Cogar/Minco community and graduated from Minco High School in 1956. He joined the U.S. Army and served from 1956-1960, and later served in the Reserves.

Henry Dillard Girard

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Dillard Girard, 92, of El Reno.

H.D. passed away peacefully Oct. 18, 2022, at the Veterans Center in Clinton.

H.D. was born April 4, 1930, in El Reno to Beula Girard and Henry Herman Girard. He attended and graduated from El Reno High School. He enjoyed El Reno football with trips to Denny’s after, watching OU football in his favorite recliner at home and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

He enjoyed going to Sid’s Diner for a burger and fries and tending to his cattle and wheat fields.

Jerry Reimers

Graveside services for Jerry Lynn Reimers were held Thursday, Oct. 6 at the Yukon Cemetery with Kelly Johnson officiating. Services were under the direction of Yanda and Son Funeral Home, Yukon.

Jerry passed away Oct. 4, 2022, in Oklahoma City. He was born Oct. 30, 1943, in Calumet to Norman and Leuna (Williams) Reimers. He was a resident of Bethany.

Jerry graduated top of his class from Calumet High School in 1961. He worked at Western Electric for nearly 40 years as an electrical specialist.

Neta Jo Liebscher

Body

It is with joy and jubilation that we announce Heaven has received a faithful servant, well done Neta Jo Liebscher. Mom went upstairs to be with Jesus on October 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., the usual time she would have left Mobile Meals with everything cared for.

Neta Jo was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma on May 9, 1938 in a “chicken house” to Omar Eldon and Wauneta Irene Riley. The joy of her life came in 1946 when her brother Jack Burton Riley was born. Little Jackie was hers to care for and he made her a great caregiver and future mother. She always lit up when she saw him.

Lari Bonham

Lari R. Bonham was born to Gene and Mary Bonham on July 2, 1953, in Winfield, Kan. He went to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2022, in Oklahoma City.

Lari began his career at Strothers in Winfield until he made his move to Oklahoma in 1984.

He began working at the Federal Correctional Institution until his retirement in 2004. He was also president of the Local 171 in El Reno.

Lari was a beloved husband, father and Papa who loved his family and God very much.

Queen Fuston

Body

Queen Ann Fuston, a loving mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Queen was born Feb. 20, 1945, in El Reno to Odell Fanning. She attended Booker T. Washington School where she was a majorette.

She went on to marry John Fuston, and from this union she had Gary and Shon Fuston.

She worked for GulfStream Aerospace and also served as a union steward. She retired after 30 years of service.

Billie Dillard

Body

Memorial services for Billie Gene Dillard of Loyal were held Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Loyal, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

Billie died Oct. 15, 2022, at home in Loyal. He was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Brighton, Ark. He was an Army veteran and had worked as a truck driver.

He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Flippin, Ark., and had been attending Immanuel Baptist Church.
