Arlene Lorna (Nobis) ZumMallen

Body

Arlene ZumMallen was born Jan. 21, 1933, in Fairmont, Okla. She entered into the arms of her Savior on Dec. 13, 2022.

She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont and gave her Confirmation of Faith at Zion as well, on March 30, 1947. Her confirmation verse is Blessed are they that hear the Word of God and keep it. - Luke 11:28

Arlene was raised on the farm several miles east of Fairmont. With many brothers and sisters, work was the order of the day.

Lynda Boyle

Body

Lynda Lea Boyle (Gough) went peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family to be with the Lord on Dec. 11, 2022.

Lynda was born to Perry and Inez Gough on Oct. 11, 1947, in McAlester.

Lynda later had two daughters of her own, Lisa Garland and Sherry Randall.

Lynda gave selflessly to the people she loved through the hardest times in her life. She became the caretaker of her father, mother and grandmother in the last years of their lives.

They all were able to live their last moments in their family home surrounded by family.

Kenneth Grady

Body

Kenneth Grady was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Hutchinson, Kan., the third of five children of Lester and Alice Selfridge Grady. He died Dec. 11, 2022, at his home in El Reno.

Kenneth was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked in sales and distribution of beverages.

He was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

On Dec. 4, 2014, Kenneth married Betty Wilkerson Snodgrass. Betty survives him.

Jani Myers-Coughlan

Body

Jani Dean Myers-Coughlan, a lifetime resident of Oklahoma, passed from this life at Yukon Integris on December 10, 2022, at the age of 47, as a result of heart failure.

Jani was born to parents, Mark and Vicki Myers on April 25, 1975, at Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Jani graduated from El Reno High School in 1993.

She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2003, and her Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma in 2008.

Col. Cliff Johnson

Body

On Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, Clifford Alvin Johnson went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born July 9, 1935, on a farm just west of Calumet to Jim and Elgie (Turpin) Johnson.

Cliff loved music. In junior high, he and his cousins, Ray and Earl Boyer, formed the Country Cousins. He graduated from El Reno High School in 1954. Soon after graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Janelle Stussy. He was blessed with four daughters, Tina, Dina, Micki and Jeanne.

Marty Long

Body

Funeral services for Martin D. Long were held Thursday, Dec. 8 at the CrossBridge Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mark Fryar officiating.

Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Marty died Dec. 4, 2022, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Nov. 3, 1958, in El Reno. He graduated from El Reno High School Class of 1977, graduated from El Reno Junior College and attended Central State University.

Growing up, Marty loved racing motor cross bikes, making it to national competition.

Tamara Bryant

Body

Funeral services for Tamara Ann Bryant were held Thursday at the Cedar Lake Chapel with Revs. Daylon Kirkland and Brian Archer officiating.

Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Tami died Dec. 5, 2022, at her sister’s home in Yukon. She was born July 22, 1965, in El Reno. She lived at Cedar Lake where she was a member of Cedar Lake Chapel and Cedar Lake Fire Department. For 20 years she worked at Lyanna’s Lakeside Convenience Store and Grill.

Don Siler

Body

Don Siler was unexpectedly taken from us on Nov. 25, 2022, at the young age of 90. He was a lifelong resident of the El Reno area. He is the youngest child of Ernest and Leora Siler, born Jan. 21, 1932. He attended El Reno High School, graduating in 1950. Following graduation, he worked for Western Electric as an installer until he was drafted into the Army, serving in Korea from 1952 to 1954. Upon returning from the war, he met and married his lifetime bride, Corinna, on April Fool’s Day 1955.

Anita Eischen

Heaven gained a special angel with the sudden loss of Anita Eischen on Dec. 2, 2022.
Anita Mae Hufnagel was born May 30, 1934, in Okarche to John and Mildred Hufnagel, one of their 11 children. She married John Eischen on Aug. 17, 1957. They shared 62 years of marriage before John’s death in 2021.
