Rita Croney

Graveside services for Rita Beverly Croney of Minco were held Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Rita passed away Aug. 30, 2022. She was born Oct. 27, 1948, in Hinton and graduated from Minco High School in 1966. She worked numerous jobs including many years at the Minco Cotton Gin. After that, she began working at home to sew quilts and help raise her grandkids before finally retiring in 2013. She was active at Cogar United Methodist Church.

Linda Jean Anderson

Body

Linda Jean Anderson was born Oct. 23, 1949, in Monett, Mo., to Earnest and Vesta Anderson. She was later big sister to Cinda and Joyce. As a small child she and her parents moved to El Reno so her dad could work for the Rock Island Railroad.

Linda died on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, in Oklahoma City where she had lived most of her adult life.

Christopher Hatfield

Body

Christopher William Hatfield, 46, died unexpectedly on Aug. 18, 2022.

While his family and friends are saddened by his passing, they are thankful for his life.

He will be remembered most for his love of others and his ability to bring laughter to those around him.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Eva Massey-Hottel and stepfather, Larry Hottel; his father, Rex Hatfield; sister, Mindy Massey-Moss; step-siblings, Eric, Cassie, Cheridy and Shandi Hottel; nephews, Carl and Dalton Brincefild, and niece, Savannah Toft.

Donna Lou Wright

Body

Donna Lou Wright departed her earthly life on Aug. 26, 2022, in El Reno.

Donna was born Aug. 13, 1953, in Fairview to Walter A. and Betty Lou (Kahn) Pester. She attended Longdale Grade School and went on to graduate in 1971 from Canton High School.

She was blessed to be named on the Oklahoma Girls All-State basketball team for the West that year along with teammate Margie Paden.

Darcie Self

Body

Darcie (Darci) Elizabeth Self, age 68, of El Reno, entered into eternal pain-free rest on Aug. 15, 2022, in Oklahoma City, peacefully and with family at her side.

Darci fought for years, battling a painful, rare nerve damage disorder, and more recently several forms of cancer. But even the strongest woman to walk the face of the earth could not beat back the cancer.

Don Parker

Body

Graveside service for Don Joe Parker was held Aug. 22 at the Niles Cemetery near Cedar Lake.

Don passed away Aug. 19, 2022, in Oklahoma City.

He was born Dec. 19, 1931, in Enid. He was raised in Enid, where he received most of his schooling. He graduated high school in Albuquerque, N.M. Don worked as the manager for Goodyear Tire and Appliance Store in Guthrie before moving his family to El Reno to manage a local furniture and appliance store. He later went to work for the Rock Island Railroad, retiring in 1996.

Andrew Adelusi Jr.

Body

Andrew Olumide Adelusi Jr. passed away Aug. 3, 2022, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Andrew was the infant son of Andrew Adelusi and Laura West, who survive him.

He is also survived by his brothers, Henry Bentley and Leigan Adelusi, and sister, Soumaya West.

A private family service was held at Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Belia Thomas

Body

Belia Thomas, 86, was born Jan. 22, 1936, in Brownsville, Texas, and died Aug. 14, 2022, in El Reno.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Thomas, of 39 years.

Belia is survived by her children, David Thomas, Nydia Thomas, Daisy Smith, Henry Thomas and Glen Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

At her request, no services will be held.
