OHP reports Calumet man killed in single-car accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a 19-year-old Calumet man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on SH 66 in Caddo County. 

Trooper Brent Tucker reported Langston Alan Pratt was killed in the accident that happened about 2:30 a.m. April 25. 

The OHP report said the vehicle being driven by Pratt was eastbound on SH 66 in Caddo County at a high rate of speed when the driver apparently lost control.

CASA volunteer completes training, takes oath to aid

Canadian County CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates Inc. - has welcomed its newest volunteer, Jennie Shain.

Shain made the commitment to give her time to help abused and neglected children in the county.\

Judge Bob Hughey swore her in earlier this month. She said she is excited to begin her journey in becoming an advocate for children in need. 

Canadian County CASA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children that have been adjudicated by the court as abused or neglected.
