Though El Reno High School’s boys golf team cut 23 strokes off its score from its first effort on the Duncan Golf and Tennis Club Course, a spot in the Class 5A Boys Oklahoma Golf Championships was not in the numbers.

Playing in the Class 5A Regional Championships, El Reno took ninth with a 36-hole total of 717 and missed a team pass to state by 57 strokes.

The six teams earning state passes were Duncan (591), Bishop McGuinness (616), Lawton MacArthur (618), Elgin (650), Newcastle (653) and Collinsville (660).

OKLAHOMA CITY – For the first time this season, El Reno High School fielded full squads for both boys and girls at the 2026 Lone Wolf Coyote Classic.

The boys earned a pair of fourth-place finishes, led by Sergio Rosas at No.1 singles. He defeated Purcell’s Asa Byrng (6-3/6-2) in the first round but dropped matches to Moore’s Jackson Tait (6-0/6-1) and Anadarko’s Sam Battiest (6-1/6-1).

Calumet High School’s baseball team regained the top spot in the final Class B poll of the spring following a 7-4 win over Weatherford.

The Chieftains will take a seven-game win streak and a 14-6 overall record into the regional round of the postseason.

The win over the Eagles followed Calumet’s sweep of Waynoka (18-2/17-0) to win the Class B, District 2 Championship.

Over the three games Calumet went 30-of-63 (.476) from the plate with 12 extra base hits. Seven of those were doubles, paced by Konnor Thiessen and Chase Woolley with two each.

Calumet High School’s slow-pitch softball team took a three-game win streak into the regional round of the Class A playoffs after beating Oklahoma Bible Academy (No.11/2A) in a tuneup game.

The win lifted the Chieftains to 21-8 on the year after sweeping Ringwood 6-0 and 8-2 to claim the District 10 Championship.

The Chieftains hit .402 (39-of-97) for the three-game set with only five extra base hits. Kyah Baker had three doubles, followed by two-baggers each from Jacks Bates and Randi Upchego.
