Route 66 signs

Body

Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews placed two large Route 66 signs with the city’s name along the Mother Road’s corridor through El Reno last week.

An ODOT supervisor said there are 16 cities between El Reno and the Texas state line that are getting the plastic overlay emblems.

The signs are heated and pressed into place to bond with the asphalt.
