On paper, the USDA’s Grazinglands Research Laboratory at Fort Reno is a place; an historic tract of land west of Oklahoma City where scientists study cattle, forage and water in the Southern Plains.
In practice, much of its research happens somewhere else.

El Reno’s Tuxedo Lounge is trying to cook up a special Christmas for local kids by raffling off a “one of a kind grill.” All proceeds from the $1 per ticket raffle will be donated to the Christmas with a Cop program.
The El Reno Fraternal Order of Police Chapter 151 has been taking local children Christmas shopping for what will be 18 years this December.
The kids are selected by El Reno teachers and the police officers do the rest.
The handmade grill is “one of a kind,” Floyd “Ribeye” Mullen said because he built it, which makes it one of a kind.
