Third time not the charm

Body

YUKON – The third time proved not to be the charm for Calumet High School’s baseball team as its archrival Fort Cobb-Broxton defeated the top-ranked Chieftains 6-1 to defend its Class B Fall State Baseball Championship for a third year in a row.

It was the third straight meeting in the Fall Classic between the two powerhouses, with Fort Cobb-Broxton holding the No.2 spot in the last regular-season state poll.

The Mustangs defeated CHS in the state semifinals in 2022 and in last year’s title game.
