In the Super Bowl game it was scoreless after regulation but in overtime, El Reno got a touchdown from Jaxon Flowers and a conversion from Tyson Winter to claim the title.
Justice Johnson logged a season-high 32 points as Redlands Community College men’s basketball team closed out the first nine games of the 2024-25 season with an 89-72 win over South Central Prep.
The 17-point victory over the Bixby-based program moved the Cougars to 7-2 on the season.
Johnson, a freshman from Hobart, was 11-of-17 (65 percent) from the field, with two of those baskets coming from behind the 3-point arc. He made 8-of-9 free throws to lead the Cougars en route to his seventh double-digit scoring game.
Pushing three players into double digits, Calumet High School’s girls basketball team scored its season-high point total en route to logging its first win of the season.
The Chieftains improved to 1-3 on the season with a 51-44 win over Binger-Oney. The seven-point decision moved Calumet to 1-2 in the Washita Valley Conference standings.
Calumet shot 38 percent from the floor with a 16-of-38 mark (42 percent) from 2-point range.
The Chieftains offense knocked down four 3-point baskets off 27 percent shooting and was 7-of-17 (41 percent) from the free-throw line.
Easton Roby logged a double-double as the defending Class A state champion Okarche High School’s boys basketball team remains undefeated on the season with a 78-22 win over Geary.
The Warriors moved to 3-0 on the year with the 56-point blowout.
Okarche shot 31 percent (27-of-86) from the floor with a 10-of-40 effort (25 percent) from the 3-point line. OHS made 14-of-19 free throws for 74 percent.
Okarche outrebounded Geary (53-33) and recorded 24 steals.
Roby scored a team-high 22 points and added 15 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
El Reno High School’s football team fell a win shy of making the postseason in 2024 but still put up some solid numbers.

CALUMET – A guard-heavy lineup scored the first 13 points as Calumet High School’s boys basketball team extended its regular-season win streak with a 57-40 win over Lomega in its home opener.
The Chieftains moved to 3-0 on the season with the non-conference victory.
Calumet has now won 28 straight regular-season games dating back to last season, with the 57 scored against Lomega being the third lowest scoring output among those wins.
