Madison Phillips and Baylor Stilley, both of Calumet, announce their plans to be married May 8 at the Schmidt family farm in Mulhall. Phillips is the daughter of Jeremy and Abby Schmidt of Mulhall.

GIRL - Aliki and Todd Joshua announce the birth of their daughter, Eleni Viviana Joshua. Eleni was born March 13 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. She weighed 6 pounds and 7 ounces and measured 18 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Ray Dyer and Viviane Dyer.

Fresh Anointing will hold an Easter service this Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church is giving away 50 Easter egg baskets filled with candy and toys to the first 50 children ages 2-11. Kids can also get their picture taken with the Easter bunny.

El Reno Indian Baptist Church Easter Sunday service will begin at 11 a.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt for the youth but no meal planned. Members welcome donations of prizes, plastic eggs filled with candies and hard-boiled colored eggs. The church is located at 109 E. Arapaho.

The Okarche Speech Team recently won its 24th Southwest Regional Speech and Debate title. OHS claimed the first-place sweepstakes plaque from the event, which was held virtually this year due to COVID. Crescent placed second, while Lawton Academy took third.

The Beautiful Day program last week recognized Roblyer students with birthdays in February and March. Besides being celebrated as they arrived at school by car or bus, students were also treated to a pizza lunch.

Charles and Cherlyn “Cherri” (Maass) Brandley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 24, 2021. They were married at the Oklahoma County Courthouse by Judge Charles Halley in 1971 and later celebrated with friends and family with a reception at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Yukon.
