Body The Canadian OSU Cooperative Extension Center will host a Cash Flow and Forage insurance meeting July 14 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Canadian Valley Technology Center, Rooms 2A-2B. JJ Jones, district OSU economist, will be the guest speaker.

Body BOY – Bailey and Paige Denny of El Reno are parents of a boy, Brand Hayze, born June 17 at Mercy Hospital. Brand weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 19.5 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Jeff and Mindy Hesser of Watonga.

Body The Canadian County Democrats awarded $500 Robert Burton Scholarships in early June to a trio of outstanding Democratic students, including Darius Moore of El Reno. Moore graduated from El Reno High School in 2021 with a 3.63 grade point average.

Body Brien Detamore, El Reno Elks Lodge #743 Exalted Ruler, presents Donna Dyer with Blessing Baskets a $3,500 donation to help with the program’s summer food distribution.

Body The Oklahoma City Community Foundation has selected El Reno High School seniors Madison Craig, Emma Gilliland and Erick Loera to receive a $2,000 scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Body Lamplighters Oklahoma Home and Community Education Association of Canadian County met recently at a local church. Joan Herr led the group in prayer and called the meeting to order, with Janice Taylor leading the flag salute.

Body Bible Baptist Church Ladies conducted a recent meeting, with Jennifer Pearson offering opening prayer. Stephanie Vandever presented the lesson on prayer from I Thessalonians 5:16-25 and John 14:3. Pearson led in a game called Bible Blurt.

Body Underwood Oklahoma Home and Community Education Association of Canadian County met recently in the home of Ann Ricketts. Natalia Valenzuela called the meeting to order, with Ricketts offering the devotional.
