Okarche takes bragging rights over Calumet in battle of No.1s, UC wins
Playing its third ranked opponent in seven days, Okarche High School earned bragging rights as the best small school in Canadian County following a 90-85 win over Class B’s top-ranked Calumet.
Okarche, the top-ranked team in Class A, moved to 23-0 on the season with the win over the Chieftains.
The seven-day stretch included a win over No.9 (A) Amber-Pocasset 99-68.
Jett Mueggenborg led the Warriors in scoring with 72 points including 44 against Ampo, while adding 17 rebounds and 12 steals. Easton Roby followed with a line of 35 points, 14 boards and five steals.
