A chase for a spot in the top 10 at the 2026 NJCAA Division 1 Women’s National Golf Championships came down to Redlands Community College and three other teams.

Playing on the Oakwood Country Club Course in Coal Valley, Ill., Redlands carded a 72-hole total of 1,316 after rounds of 332-332-325 and a 326 over the final 18 holes.

That final round allowed McLennan Community College to jump Redlands for 10th place by one shot.

The Cougars held a four-shot led over the Texans entering the last 18 holes.

On Saturday morning, more than 200 El Reno students will walk across the field at Memorial Stadium to become high school graduates as part of the Class of 2026.

Waiting patiently in the back rows to hear her name called out will be Mya Robles.

“I’ve chosen a traditional white outfit to wear,” said Robles.

However, the 18-year-old cannot help but wonder what could have become of this day if she had been wearing an outfit of a different color – say, a blue jersey with the words El Reno across the front.

“It would have been nice,” said Robles.

That pitch finally came, in all places, the finals.

Voss hit a three-run homer to left field in the top of the third inning to break a scoreless deadlock and spark No.1 Calumet to a 7-3 win over No.2 Fort Cobb-Broxton in the title game of the Class B Oklahoma State High School Baseball Championships.

El Reno High School senior Mya Robles took second place in the Class 5A West Regional over the weekend in the shot put and earned a ticket to the Class 5A state meet.

However, the Class 5A shot put is scheduled for Saturday morning at the same time El Reno Public Schools is slated to hold its graduation exercises.

El Reno track coach Paul Raupe has made an appeal to the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) in hopes of allowing Robles to either throw later Saturday after graduation or possibly with another class on Friday.

EDMOND – Five errors over the first three innings tossed Union City High School into a hole it could not ascend in the semifinals of the Class A2 Oklahoma State High School Baseball Championships.

Union City dropped an 11-2 decision to top-ranked Rattan in just its second state semifinal appearance in school history for spring ball and first since 2017.

The fourth-ranked Tigers (24-5) reached the semifinals after eliminating No.5 Cameron (19-4) in the quarterfinals. Union City’s 1-1 run lifts Ludy Griggs program to a 2-2 state mark for spring ball.
