Whether on the streets of America or abroad, from prisons to parks, churches of all sizes and the corporate stage, singer, songwriter and saxophonist Greg Winn has been Making Music Matter for more than 40 years.

He has devoted his life to music ministry and is described as one of the most versatile music ministers on the road today.

Winn will be in concert on Sunday, Jan. 8 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at First Assembly of God, 1701 S. Jensen Ave.

The public is invited, and child care will be provided through age 4.

The Canadian County Fair Board recently approved a measure to develop a 4-H and FFA youth advisory board to focus on quality herdsmanship and livestock advocacy.

El Reno Masonic Lodge #50 annually supports the Redlands Community College agriculture scholarship, but members recently had the opportunity to provide individual assistance to student Sarah Breshears.

Worshipful Master Mike Smith and member Ed Zweiacher presented Breshears with a check for housing expenses. Joining them are Tina Jacobs, Redlands resident life coordinator, and Scotti Charmasson, agriculture professor.
 

Members of the Banner 4-H Club met recently to make Christmas cards to deliver to assisted living centers in the area.

Banner eighth-grade students have been reading The Outsiders and recently visited the museum in Tulsa.

The El Reno Annual Christmas Dinner will be held at Wesley Methodist Family Center, 101 S. Barker, on Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy fun and fellowship along with turkey and dressing, potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, bread and desserts.
