El Reno Masons and Mobile Meals joined in holding a recent pancake breakfast, resulting in a $5,000 donation.
Mobile Meals volunteers sold tickets and gathered a huge silent auction for a successful event.

Kadence Gatz of Union City was recognized as a recipient of the 2024 American Farmers Ranchers (AFR) Cooperative Incoming Freshman State Scholarship at the 2025 AFR Annual Convention held recently in Norman.
Gatz attends Redlands Community College.
AFR annual state scholarships are available to qualified students in all 77 Oklahoma counties. Students are eligible to apply for the AFR Incoming Freshman State Scholarship during their senior year of high school.

El Reno’s American Legion Post 34 is now officially a Purple Heart Post.
The honor was given to the Legion during a recent ceremony.
Post Commander Jerry Hill said El Reno is the second American Legion Post in Oklahoma to be honored with the distinction.
The Legion was also the recipient of a grant from an energy company.

Refreshments were served as well as making of arts and crafts items.
