Yukon nixes music venue

Body

Residents protesting a proposed amphitheater on Yukon’s west side heard welcome words when an elected city official said he wouldn’t support bringing the outdoor music venue here.

In March, Venu Holding Corp. shared plans to build a 12,500-seat open-air amphitheater with 70 concerts per year on a 21.95-acre tract of land west of Frisco Road to anchor a new Yukon entertainment district between Interstate 40 and State Highway 66.
