Funeral services for Enos Alfonso Svitak Jr. of El Reno were held Thursday, July 17 at Wares Chapel in Anadarko, with burial in the Wares Cemetery.Services were under the direction of Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home.Mr. Svitak died July 11, 2025.

James Ray (Jim) Johnson, 89, passed away peacefully at his home in El Reno on July 1, 2025. He was born June 24, 1936, in Chandler, Oklahoma, to Tommie Ross Johnson and Myrtle Virginia (Curtis) Johnson.

Services for Jequita May Mitchell of Union City will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 at Hazel Dell Baptist Church with burial following in the Hazel Dell Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home, Minco.Jequita died July 8, 2025, at her home.

Virginia Phelps, who made her home in Yukon, Oklahoma, was born in Tuscola, Kentucky, on Aug. 20, 1933, the daughter of Jennings Brian Jordan and June Olive Adkins, who preceded her in death.

Clifford Walter Meyer was born to Walter Meyer and Myrtle E. (Maass) Meyer on Nov. 12, 1933, in Okarche, Oklahoma. At home and surrounded by his family, Clifford left to go to his heavenly home on July 5, 2025. 

Beverly Jean Huber was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Cozad, Nebraska, and was the daughter of Earl and Rose Henninger. She passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at her home in El Reno. Beverly graduated from Lexington High School in 1960.

Services for Randall Ray Palmer of Yukon were held Thursday, July 10 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Grant Findley, Rocky Carter and Randy Stafford officiating.

Memorial service for James Harris Mauldin will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9 at Mount Zion Church under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

John Edward “Jack” Menz Jr., 73, of El Reno, passed away June 27, 2025, in Oklahoma City. A lifelong resident of El Reno, Jack was born Oct. 29, 1951, at the El Reno Sanitarium to Mary Margaret (Maher) Menz and John Edward Menz Sr.
