Graveside services for Bertha Jean Sanders will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 29 at the El Reno Cemetery with Grant Finley officiating.
Services for Veda Fae Moore will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16 at Huber-Benson Funeral Home with Chaplain Corey Meehan of Russell-Murray Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in the El Reno Cemetery.

Wallace died May 5, 2025, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Feb. 3, 1982, in Riverton, Wyo.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Bellymule Jenkins.
Elmer Oscar Phillips was born Jan. 8, 1926, at the family farmhouse near Binger, to William Burton (W.B.) Phillips and Anna Phillips. He passed away May 4, 2025, in El Reno.
Jack Edward Hunt was born Jan. 13, 1933, to Ed and Gladys Hunt in El Reno, upstairs above the Napa Store on Rock Island.
Before graduating from El Reno High School in 1953, Jack played football and was a member of the band. He showed hogs and steers for the 4-H Club, being awarded Reserve Grand Steer at the Tulsa State Fair and at the Kansas City Fair.
After graduating in 1953, Jack embarked on a new chapter of his life by marrying his love, Carol Jean VonTungeln, on May 9, 1954.
Wake service for Mary Elizabeth Sankey will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, with funeral services on Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m., both at the Concho Emergency Response Center. Burial will follow in the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Mary died May 2, 2025, at St. Anthony Healthplex in El Reno. She was born May 24, 1962, in Clinton.
She was raised in Canton, later moving to Geary and lastly to El Reno.
She was a certified nursing assistant working for Grace Living Center in El Reno and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Peggy Joyce Harbour, age 67, passed away April 23, 2025, in El Reno. Born on April 30, 1957, Peggy was a vibrant and cherished member of her community, known for her outgoing nature and deep love for her family and customers.
Peggy dedicated much of her professional life to Sonic Drive-In, where she worked from 1988 until 2024, serving and connecting with countless community members.
She was also a devout attendee of the Faith Family Church, where she found great solace and community.
Services for Douglas Ray Oaks of Minco were held Friday, May 2 at Hazel Dell Baptist Church, with burial following at the Hazel Dell Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.
Doug died April 27, 2025, in Oklahoma City. He was born June 14, 1972, in El Reno.
He was a lifetime resident of Minco, graduating from Minco High School in 1990. He was an equipment cleaning specialist at Tinker Air Force Base.
Vigil for Carolyn Novosad Highfill of The Village will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 5, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Warr Acres with Rev. Cory Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Union City under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
