Erick DeLayne Farley

Erick DeLayne Farley was born Jan. 31, 1964, in Shawnee to Joe L. and Judy Lea (Austin) Farley. He passed away at the Hospice House in Oklahoma City on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in his recliner with his wife of 40 years, three children, parents, and dog, Jake at his side. He was 59.

Loreca Faye Wise

Body

Loreca Faye Wise was born in Monett, Mo., on Sept. 20, 1973, to Charles Lee Larkey of Woodward and Julia Ann Smith of El Reno. The Loving Hands of God took her home on Saturday, July 8, 2003, after a lengthy illness and a final stay at Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Loreca married David Ray Wise on July 21, 2006. She had one daughter, Tiffany Fenimore, from a previous marriage and accepted David’s daughter, Brianna Wise, as her own.

Jesus Rosales

Body

Jesus Jack Rosales was stillborn on July 8, 2023, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon.

A graveside service was held on Friday at the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Jesus Jack is survived by his parents, Jesus Rosales and Destiny Bert, and maternal grandparents, Jackie Sevenstar and Brian Sevenstar.

Jim Lane Phariss

Body

Jim Lane Phariss, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, family member and friend, passed from this world on July 8, 2023, at the age of 92.

Among Jim’s greatest joys in life was his salvation in Jesus Christ and his daily witness of what it means to serve Jesus by serving others.

His acts of love and service to his wife, Carolyn during their 68 years of marriage are a model for all of us to follow.

Hillary Wolftongue

Funeral services for Hillary Wolftongue will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Concho Response Center with Rev. Waylan Upchego officiating. Burial will follow in the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Hillary died July 4, 2023, at St. Anthony Healthplex in El Reno. She was born Nov. 13, 1992, in Oklahoma City.

She was raised in Calumet where she was a member of the Coleman Chapel.

Vesta Lee Todd

Body

Vesta Lee Todd was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Beckham County, Okla. She was the daughter of William and Ruth Hall.

She passed away to her heavenly home on July 10, 2023, in Oklahoma City.

Vesta married Gayle Todd on Aug. 26, 1950, at First Baptist Church in Sayre, and they were married for 56 years. Together they had three children, Judy, JW and Jeveta.

In 1956, they relocated to El Reno following Gayle’s job at the Rock Island Railroad. Vesta was a railroad wife for 32 years and raised her children.

Michael Edwards

Funeral services for Michael “Mike” Leath Edwards will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 14 at Calumet United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Irby officiating.

Burial with military honors will follow at the Canadian Valley Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mike passed away July 9, 2023, in El Reno. He was born Feb. 9, 1946, in Broken Arrow. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School and continued his studies at Oklahoma State University.

Services for Georgia Marie Self of Union City were held Friday, July 7 at the Huber-Benson Chapel, with burial following at the Union City Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

Georgia passed away July 2, 2023, at her home. She was born Dec. 28, 1958, in Chanute, Kan. She was raised in Oklahoma City and moved to Union City in 1975, graduating from Southeast High School in Oklahoma City in 1977.

Michael Kenton Redding

Body

Michael Kenton Redding, 43, of Oklahoma City, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. He was born Aug. 20, 1979, to William K. “Ken” and Laurel (Hume) Redding.

He was born in Weatherford and lived in Hydro before moving to El Reno in 1985.

Michael graduated from El Reno High School in 1998. A talented musician, Michael learned to play French horn and was part of the jazz band playing the saxophone. He lived there until 2017 when he moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to his family.
