Donna Feddersen

Donna Feddersen died peacefully with her husband, Bill by her side on Jan. 13, 2021.

Donna was born Oct. 1, 1931, to Chester and Lemmie Lyon in Gracemont. They later moved to El Reno where she spent the rest of her life until moving with Bill to a senior living facility to be closer to family in Oklahoma City.

Donna graduated from El Reno High School and continued her education in being the best wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, which earned her a master’s degree from her family. She never ran out of love to give to others.

Joyce Ann Morrison

Graveside service for Joyce Ann Morrison of Augusta, Kan., formerly of El Reno, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Union City. Funeral Mass was held Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta.

Joyce passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021. She was born in Milan, Tenn., on Dec. 23, 1928, to the late Cleo (Usesy) and William Harvey Staton. She was a homemaker for most of her life and she also worked at a dry cleaners for several years. In August of 1949, she married Lawrence Hendy in Kingfisher.

Ursula Elfriede Maine

Body

Ursula Elfriede Zais was born Aug. 6, 1938, to Dr. and Mrs. Ernst Zais in Stuttgart, Germany, and was welcomed into the arms of her loving Lord and Savior on Jan. 8, 2021, in Oklahoma City at the age of 82, with her family and pastor by her side.

After graduating from high school, she traveled to America in 1957, aboard the “MS Berlin.” She eventually found her way to Oklahoma and met the love of her life, Jackie Maine.

They were married May 18, 1963, at Trinity Lutheran Church in El Reno, where she was a dedicated member.

Cecil A. Davis

Body

Cecil A. Davis of Calumet was born Jan. 6, 1938, in Comanche, and went to be with his Heavenly Father on Jan. 7, 2021. He was 83 years old.

Cecil spent the early part of his life in the Cotton County area, graduating from Walters High School in 1956.

In 1957, Cecil began his career with the (then) Oklahoma Department of Highways as a construction surveyor. This position led to his move to the El Reno area when construction began on Interstate 40 through the state of Oklahoma.

Jessie Ada Sankey

Funeral services for Jessie Ada Sankey were held Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at the Byron Sankey residence in rural Canton with Rev. Gerald Panana officiating.

Interment followed at the Sankey Family Cemetery.

Jessie passed away Dec. 31, 2020, at her home in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 5, 1974, in Clinton. She was the daughter of Byron Sankey and Celeste Medicinebird.

Dee Anna Golden

Body

Memorial service for Ruby Dee Anna Golden was held Saturday at Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Dee Anna died Jan. 5, 2021, at her home in El Reno. She was born Dec. 9, 1937, at home in Minco where she was raised.

She cared for children in her home and was a member of the London and Macomb Church of Christ. 

Survivors include her son, Scott Williams of El Reno; daughter, Ann Crochet of Huntington Beach, Calif.; siblings, Gene Whitlow of Oklahoma City and Valerie Quast of Caldwell, Texas; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Josie Irene Cleghorn

Body

Funeral Mass for longtime El Reno resident Josie Irene Cleghorn will be held Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Lance Warren officiating.

A graveside burial will follow at El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. A wake service will be held Sunday, Jan. 10 at 6 p.m., also at Sacred Heart.

Josie passed peacefully on Jan. 4, 2021, at St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno. She was born April 26, 1930, in Albuquerque, N.M. Josie attended Albuquerque High School and graduated there in 1948.

Graveside service for Carol Ann Mueggenborg will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kingfisher Cemetery with Darin Hedrick officiating. Viewing will be at Huber-Benson Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 to 5 p.m.

Carol died Jan. 4, 2021. She was born March 13, 1944, in Kingfisher where she attended school. During her life she lived Kingfisher, Grapevine, Texas, Seattle, Wash., Milpitas, Calif., Houston, Texas, Madison, Miss., and Coral Springs, Fla., before returning to Oklahoma after retiring to live in Okarche.

Mark Elliot Griffis passed away Jan. 3, 2021, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

He was born Nov. 26, 1962, in Stuttgart-Bad Connstatt, Germany. Mark grew up in El Reno and graduated from El Reno High School in 1980. He began working at Dell 15 years ago where he was currently employed as an IT Specialist. While being employed at Dell, he received numerous awards for being a top performer.
