Indians unable to turn shots into goals in 3-0 shutout loss to Classen

OKLAHOMA CITY – Classen SAS scored a penalty kick and added a goal in the final minute to record a 3-0 win over El Reno High School’s boys soccer team.

The loss dropped El Reno to 3-4 on the season and 0-1 in the District 5A-2 standings, which moved the Indians to fifth place.

El Reno allowed one goal in the 14th minute of the first half as keeper Aldo De La Torre logged seven saves at the break and had 12 for the match.

El Reno seniors among four area cagers picked for OCA All-State

Seniors Carter Roman Nose and Tre Davis joined a long and esteemed list of El Reno High School players to earn the highest honor allocated to a senior – a spot on the Oklahoma Coaches Association’s All-State squad.

Roman Nose and Davis were named to the Large West squad for the 2025 OCA All-State Boys Basketball Games to be played July 30 at Tulsa Memorial High School.

The pair were joined by Calumet’s Kyler Thiessen and Okarche’s Hunter Mueggenborg, who were named to the Small West team. The West teams will take on squads from the East at 7 and 8:30 p.m.
