Missing ER child found safe in Geary with mom

A woman was stopped Thursday morning in Geary after she allegedly took her child from her El Reno home. The woman, identified as Shanea Bell, did not have legal custody of the child, police said. 

El Reno police said they were called to 2429 Stone Glen Drive about the incident shortly after 6 a.m. on Thursday.

Officers learned the child had been taken from the home by Bell. The woman allegedly left the residence after packing clothes for the child.

OKC bombing survivor to speak at crime victims panel

An Oklahoma City bombing survivor will be the guest speaker at “Voices for Justice: A Crime Victim Rights Panel and Proclamation” presented by the Canadian County Coordinated Community Response Team.

Dennis Purifoy will share “A Story of Hope” at this event set for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 7 at Archery Traditions, 328 Elm in Yukon. Residents across Canadian County are invited to hear his message.

These boxes of clothes and shoes were left on the ground by Wesley United Methodist Church’s Blessing Boxes.

A program official urges area residents wishing to make clothing donations to either contact the church office in advance to make such donations or take those items to local charities set up to handle clothes and shoes.

The Blessing Boxes program is designed for non-perishable food and hygiene products.

Police searching for Macomb porch pirate

El Reno police are looking for a man who allegedly took a package from the front porch of a home on March 27.

Police reports said the incident happened in the 900 block of South Macomb. A woman told police she saw a white male walk onto her porch and steal an Amazon package. The man wore black shorts, a black camo T-shirt and black high top sneakers.

The man then ran and entered a blue Dodge truck. The vehicle left going east on Cavanaugh.
