Wrestlers open dual season with lopsided win over Jets

Body

El Reno High School’s wrestling team, ranked 10th in the state in the first Class 5A poll, kicked off the dual season last week with a beat-down of the Western Heights Jets 77-12.

The win also counts in the Suburban Conference standings as EHS was slated to continue that part of the schedule with a road trip to No.14 Del City before traveling to Piedmont this Tuesday to take on the third-ranked Wildcats.

Tyrone Lewis’ team will wrestle the first of four home duals on Thursday against U.S. Grant.
