Basic Energy Services to close local operation, sell off its properties
The pain in the oil patch continues to flow as area employees with Basic Energy Services Inc. were informed on Thursday the company plans to divest of its pumping services assets and sell the yards it operates in this area.
Trey Stolz, director of investor relations for Basic, said the exact number of employees impacted locally by the changes was not immediately available.
He said the plan will impact employees mostly in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado. He said the change should impact about 350 people company-wide.
