RCC releases honor rolls for fall semester

Body

Redlands Community College recently announced students named to the college’s honor rolls for the fall 2020 semester.

Students listed on the President’s Honor Roll have completed 12 or more credit hours and have earned a GPA of not less than 3.8, with no grade less than a B – excluding 0-level courses.

The Vice President’s Honor Roll recognizes students who have completed 12 or more hours of coursework and have earned a GPA of 3.5 to 3.79, with no grade less than a C – excluding 0-level courses.

Ranch Rodeo sets date for CHF fundraiser event

The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association’s (OCA) Ranch Rodeo has a close relationship with the Children’s Hospital Foundation (CHF) that spans 23 years and entails raising more than $553,500. 

The OCA Ranch Rodeo involves 12 Oklahoma ranch teams that compete in five different events depicting real life activities that happen on the ranch.  The event has affectionately been called “Cowboys Helping Kids” because of the long-standing relationship with Children’s Hospital Foundation.

ER Wranglers hold first ’21 meeting

Body

The El Reno Wranglers met recently for their first meeting of 2021 with 31 members present.

Trish Duncan and Brady Armold opened with the flag salute, while Gary Sorrels offered prayer. Annual dues were collected.

Wrangler members are hopeful to have the annual rodeo this year.

There was discussion of starting open playdays.

Next meeting will be held Feb. 4.

Local students make O-State honor rolls

A total of 8,004 students were named to the 2020 fall semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Full-time undergraduate students who completed 12 or more hours with a grade point average of 4.00 made the President’s Honor Roll, and students with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher with no grade below a C made the Dean’s Honor Roll.

Landscaping design workshop to offer tips for homeowners, pros

Body

The Canadian County Extension Service will conduct a home landscaping design workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at the Canadian County Fairgrounds, 220 N. Country Club Drive, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The seminar, with a $10 registration fee, is open to home gardeners, landscape professionals and amateur horticulturalists.
