Body J.C. and Vonda Carroll will be honored on their 70th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at a local restaurant on Saturday with their daughter, Jana Wilds serving as hostess. The couple was married May 2, 1952, at Wickline Methodist Church in Midwest City. J.C.

Body The Underwood Oklahoma Home and Community Education Association of Canadian County met recently in the home of Vicki Duncan, with Natalia Valenzuela calling the meeting to order. Bernita Davis read minutes of the previous meeting, while Ann Ricketts gave the treasury report.

Body Larry and Debbie Thomas of El Reno will be honored on their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration on Saturday with family and friends at an Oklahoma City restaurant. Larry Thomas and Debbie Moore were married April 21, 1972, at First Christian Church.

Body Hailey McBroom was presented the Daughters of the American Revolution Citizens Award during the April El Reno School Board meeting. Presenting the award is Nicky Howell and Paula Harman.

Body The El Reno Kiwanis Club reported an excellent turnout during its annual Pancake Breakfast at Wesley United Methodist Church, serving around 100 guests from the community. Most of the funds raised will go toward scholarships to graduating seniors at El Reno High School.

Body For the first time in three years, Redlands Community College students returned to Catalyst, the international conference for Phi Theta Kappa.

Body Canadian Valley Art Guild recently hosted plein air artist Polly Sharp, who gave a demonstration on plein painting and the equipment that is needed as well as how to reduce the landscape down to various shapes.
