Joyce Ann Ringo Williams

Body

Joyce Ann Ringo Williams, 88, of El Reno, passed away Nov. 18, 2022.

Joyce was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Cloud Chief, Okla. Her family later moved to Grandma and Grandpa Ringo’s farm in Dill City, Okla. Her dad found a job at a service station in Dill City and her mom worked the fields. Joyce’s parents divorced and they later moved to El Reno.

Both her mother and father remarried again. Her dad married Airlene Walters, a wonderful woman, they had one daughter and two sons.

Her mom married a wonderful man, Lewis Willingham, they had one daughter.

Donald Herbert Baker

Body

A memorial service for Donald Herbert Baker will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 in the Benson Memorial Chapel. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Don died Nov. 20, 2022, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon. He was born March 24, 1932, in Harrington, Kan.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a switchman retired from the Rock Island Railroad. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 34.

Larry Francis Devane

Body

Larry Francis Devane, age 76, of Mustang, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022. 

Born in Manhattan, Kan., he was the son of Rosemary (Boller) Devane and Paul Francis Devane. He had four younger sisters, Carol, Mary Lou, Sarah Jane and Colleen.

He attended St. Xavier’s High School, where he excelled in both school and sports. For his undergraduate degree, he attended Emporia State University on a football scholarship. Following his undergraduate completion, he continued at Emporia State University and earned his Masters of Science degree.

Daniel Maifield

Body

Services for Daniel Creig Maifield were held Saturday in the El Reno High School auditorium with Rev. Greg Leaf officiating.

Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.     

Daniel died Nov. 15, 2022, at St. Anthony Healthplex in El Reno. He was born March 14, 2009, in Elk City.

He was a seventh-grade student at Etta Dale Junior High School.

Daniel was a motorcyclist and enjoyed x-games, hunting, fishing, thrill seeker and paint ball. His favorite color was hulk green.

David Herbert

Body

Graveside services for David Lee Herbert will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25 at Pleasant View Cemetery northeast of Union City with Rev. Dick Kurtz officiating.

Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

David died Nov. 19, 2022, at his son’s home in Norman. He was born June 23, 1953, in El Reno where he lived most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of El Reno High School.

David briefly worked for the Rock Island Railroad before his career at General Motors.

Vickey Lorentz

Body

Funeral services for Vickey Lynn Lorentz were held Tuesday at the Concho Emergency Response Center. Burial was in the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Vickey died Nov. 6, 2022, in Oklahoma City. She was born Nov. 13, 1992, in Clinton. She lived most of her life in Geary but had recently moved to Oklahoma City. During her high school years she was a cheerleader and played basketball and fast-pitch softball at Hinton and Geary high schools.   

Vickey is survived by a daughter, Tina Lorentz, and a brother, Clifford Littleraven.

David Mitchum

Body

Funeral services for David Paul Mitchum of Minco were held Monday at First Baptist Church in Minco, with burial following at the Evergreen Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

David passed away Nov. 16, 2022, at the Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon. He was born Nov. 27, 1940, at home in Minco.

David was raised in the Minco community, graduating from Minco High School in 1959. He worked as a corrosion technician for Oklahoma Natural Gas for 37 years until his retirement. He was a member of Minco First Baptist Church.

Luther “Dean” Lively

Body

Luther “Dean” Lively, 85, went to be with his Lord on Nov. 12, 2022, at Integris Hospital in Yukon. He had been in bad health for a number of years.

Dean was born to Luther and Ilene Lively in Duquoin, Ill., on Oct. 31, 1937. He met and married his wife, Melba, and they were married 63 years.

He retired from the Air Force in 1979. He worked at Dayton Tire, retiring in 1999.

Dean was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Dean Lively; his parents, Luther and Ilene Lively; brother, Wayne Lively; and sister, Sharon Critchlow.

George Decker Jr.

Graveside services for George (Buddy) Decker Jr. were held Tuesday at the El Reno Cemetery with Lee Pafford of Boise City officiating.

Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

George passed away Nov. 9, 2022, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital. He was born to George Decker Sr. and Doris Lee (Allen) Decker of El Reno on Jan. 5, 1949. He attended El Reno High School. He grew up tinkering with cars and loved building things and did so for the rest of his life.
