Marty Long

Body

Funeral services for Martin D. Long were held Thursday, Dec. 8 at the CrossBridge Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mark Fryar officiating.

Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Marty died Dec. 4, 2022, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Nov. 3, 1958, in El Reno. He graduated from El Reno High School Class of 1977, graduated from El Reno Junior College and attended Central State University.

Growing up, Marty loved racing motor cross bikes, making it to national competition.

Tamara Bryant

Body

Funeral services for Tamara Ann Bryant were held Thursday at the Cedar Lake Chapel with Revs. Daylon Kirkland and Brian Archer officiating.

Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Tami died Dec. 5, 2022, at her sister’s home in Yukon. She was born July 22, 1965, in El Reno. She lived at Cedar Lake where she was a member of Cedar Lake Chapel and Cedar Lake Fire Department. For 20 years she worked at Lyanna’s Lakeside Convenience Store and Grill.

Don Siler

Body

Don Siler was unexpectedly taken from us on Nov. 25, 2022, at the young age of 90. He was a lifelong resident of the El Reno area. He is the youngest child of Ernest and Leora Siler, born Jan. 21, 1932. He attended El Reno High School, graduating in 1950. Following graduation, he worked for Western Electric as an installer until he was drafted into the Army, serving in Korea from 1952 to 1954. Upon returning from the war, he met and married his lifetime bride, Corinna, on April Fool’s Day 1955.

Anita Eischen

Body

Heaven gained a special angel with the sudden loss of Anita Eischen on Dec. 2, 2022.
Anita Mae Hufnagel was born May 30, 1934, in Okarche to John and Mildred Hufnagel, one of their 11 children. She married John Eischen on Aug. 17, 1957. They shared 62 years of marriage before John’s death in 2021.

Mass of Christian Burial for John Charles “Chuck” Hauenstein will be held Friday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Lance Warren officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Donald Siler

Body

Funeral services for Donald Siler will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, with burial following in the El Reno Cemetery.

Friends are invited to come pay their respects at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Frances Taylor

Body

Frances Elizabeth Taylor, 73, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Nov. 6, 2022, at Integris Hospital in Yukon after a short bout with cancer.

Fran was born to Frank and Carrie Taylor in Upper Freehold, Monmouth County, N.J., on May 20, 1949.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Fran is survived by her brother, Allen; her son, Steven; one grandson; and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 10, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 12020 N. Mustang Road, Yukon.

Joyce Ann Ringo Williams

Body

Joyce Ann Ringo Williams, 88, of El Reno, passed away Nov. 18, 2022.

Joyce was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Cloud Chief, Okla. Her family later moved to Grandma and Grandpa Ringo’s farm in Dill City, Okla. Her dad found a job at a service station in Dill City and her mom worked the fields. Joyce’s parents divorced and they later moved to El Reno.

Both her mother and father remarried again. Her dad married Airlene Walters, a wonderful woman, they had one daughter and two sons.

Her mom married a wonderful man, Lewis Willingham, they had one daughter.

Donald Herbert Baker

Body

A memorial service for Donald Herbert Baker will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 in the Benson Memorial Chapel. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Don died Nov. 20, 2022, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon. He was born March 24, 1932, in Harrington, Kan.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a switchman retired from the Rock Island Railroad. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 34.

Larry Francis Devane

Body

Larry Francis Devane, age 76, of Mustang, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022. 

Born in Manhattan, Kan., he was the son of Rosemary (Boller) Devane and Paul Francis Devane. He had four younger sisters, Carol, Mary Lou, Sarah Jane and Colleen.

He attended St. Xavier’s High School, where he excelled in both school and sports. For his undergraduate degree, he attended Emporia State University on a football scholarship. Following his undergraduate completion, he continued at Emporia State University and earned his Masters of Science degree.
