Okarche speech wins in virtual events

Body Members of the Okarche High School Speech Team competed in two virtual tournaments during the month of February. In a virtual tournament, students either submit video recordings of their performances for judging or compete via video-conferencing software.

Local archer on target

Body Archery Traditions of Oklahoma recently hosted the USA Archery Sanctioned Oklahoma JOAD Indoor Tournament Series. Ethen Turner of El Reno Public Schools has been involved in JOAD for five years and participated in the tournament series.

Local students named to UCO honor rolls

Body The University of Central Oklahoma recently announced a list of students named to the university’s honor rolls. For the fall 2021 semester, 1,523 students were named to the President’s Honor Roll, an honor achieved by those who recorded a straight-A or 4.0 GPA.

Okarche speech qualifies for regionals, earns awards

Body The Okarche High School Speech Team took part in two competitions during January, qualifying 18 events for regionals and garnering two school awards. Eight OHS students competed in Comanche High School’s invitational tournament and brought home the sweepstakes trophy in Class 3A.
