Body El Reno High School Class of 2003 celebrated its 20-year reunion recently at the Crimson Creek Golf Course. The event brought together 50 graduates from the EHS class of 2003, along with about 40 guests of alumni.

Union City couple celebrate 65 years of marriage

Body Don and Kay Bornemann are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 20, 1958, at the United Methodist Church in Union City. Don grew up on a farm in Banner and Kay grew up on a farm east of Union City.

ER Wranglers discuss upcoming elections

Body The El Reno Wranglers held their September meeting at the 4-H Building, with Jimmy Johnston opening the meeting. Trish Duncan and Brady Armold led in the flag salute, with Gary Sorrells offering prayer. Glen Matthews was welcomed as a guest.

Underwood OHCE members discuss county fair results

Body Underwood Oklahoma Home and Community Education met recently in the home of Janan Fletcher. Other members present were Vicki Duncan, Natalia Valenzuela and Bernita Davis. The group enjoyed a spider-themed lunch to go along with the program titled “Not So Spooky Spiders.

Body The Ice Cream Freeze-Off was a new contest this year at the Canadian County Free Fair. Named as champion was Marbi Symes with her butter pecan ice cream. The trophy was sponsored by Ken Carpenter Auction and Realty.

Body BOY - Melanie Thompson and Dustin Hutchings of El Reno are parents of a boy, Dawson Gene Hutchings, born July 30 at Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City. He weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 20 inches in length.
