Born Feb. 11, 2008, in Oklahoma City, Brad D. Palmer passed away at age 18 on May 22, 2026. 

He attended El Reno Public Schools and recently graduated from El Reno High School. He was on his way to a bigger stage at college, where he was going to play football and further his education. 

Brad loved to play sports. Since he was little, his brothers were always on him to keep it up, and he did with football, basketball, powerlifting, and just a tad bit of wrestling. He was really starting to love the weight room as well as keeping involved with his friends.

Ronnie Lynn Mauldin

Body

Ronnie Lynn Mauldin peacefully passed from this earth on May 30, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 27, 1952, to his loving parents, Jefferson Leon “Sparkey” Mauldin and Hattie Faye Mauldin. He was raised in El Reno, where he graduated from El Reno High School in 1971. He would proudly tell you that from kindergarten through his senior year of high school, he never missed a day of school.

Rebecca Lee Slater

Rebecca (Becky) Lee Beisel Slater, age 74, returned to her heavenly home on Friday, May 29, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with multiple health issues.    

Becky was born June 14, 1951, in Springdale, Arkansas, to David and Jean Ann Beisel.

She grew up in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Memorial High School and Oklahoma State University.

Aaron Matthew Byrd

Memorial service for Aaron Matthew Byrd will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2 at First Christian Church with Revs. Susan Payne and Tara Dew officiating. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Aaron died May 27, 2026, in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 27, 1976, in Idabel. After moving to various towns in Oklahoma, in 1995, he graduated from Berryhill High School in Tulsa. He continued his studies at Redlands Community College, graduating in 2000, and earned a bachelor of Mass Communications from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Diana Hill

Diana Capps Hill, born May 14, 1946, passed away May 8, 2026, just shy of her 80th birthday, in her home in El Reno.

She left this world peacefully, surrounded by the comfort of her own home. 

Diana is lovingly remembered by her family, including her two daughters, Kimberly Bentley and Darla Landers. She was a cherished grandmother to Tony, Brandon and his wife, Amanda, Danielle and her husband, Chad, and Anthony. Diana also had the joy of knowing her three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Chad and Aspen.

Quincy NiKee Jones Jr. passed away May 22, 2026, at the young age of 19. He was born in Oklahoma City on March 12, 2007, to Quincy NiKee Jones Sr. and Jessica Leadine Carter. 

Quincy started pre-kindergarten in El Reno and continued his education at El Reno Public Schools, where he graduated on May 16, 2026. During his senior year, Quincy also attended and graduated from the Canadian Valley Tech, completing his underground utility locating technician program, along with earning his National Technical Honor Society recognition.

Betty Jean Klingman

Body

Betty Jean (Cowan) Klingman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 14, 2026. She was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Sterling to Harley and Burtey Cowan.

Betty was a sweet and gentle woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved drawing and painting pictures, tending to her garden and spending time at Lake Eufaula. She cherished moments with her family and enjoyed antique shopping, birdwatching, reading and working crossword puzzles. Her warm spirit and quiet kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
