Tortoise on a slow run in Piedmont

Body

Ferb the tortoise is missing.

But there’s hope.

Owner Cherrie Zaidi had a call about a possible sighting not a mile from the backyard home near the Piedmont High School tennis courts where Ferb disappeared.

On Sept. 19, a caller said a large turtle, possibly a tortoise, was seen about 6 p.m. crossing Cemetery Road near NW 164th going east to west onto Piedmont Public Works Department property.

Zaidi said she searched the area extensively but with no luck.

Ferb went missing from the Zaidi home on Wednesday morning, Aug. 21.

El Reno’s Canadian Valley Pharmacy has made a major investment to help people lose weight and do it more affordably.

Canadian Valley is one of only two pharmacies in the state of Oklahoma to legally compound new weight-loss medications.

John Smith, pharmacist and owner of Canadian Valley Pharmacy, said he and his staff saw a need.

“There is a huge demand for a class of medications called GLP-1 agonists (i.e. Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy). They are very expensive and in high demand,” Smith said.
