Body Larry Quisenberry of El Reno pulled a 46-pound blue catfish from Lake El Reno. The catch was made April 27 about 2:30 p.m. The fish measured 47 1/2 inches and Quisenberry said he used shad as the bait.

On the road for the playoffs

Body El Reno High School’s boys soccer team played through the rain recently to defeat Guymon 2-1 in its final match of the regular season. El Reno will now travel to Oklahoma City to play Santa Fe South in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs, set for Tuesday at 7 p.m.
