Body Redlands Community College’s baseball team won one of two games in Tishomingo recently to avoid being swept by Murray State College during NJCAA Region 2, Division 2 action. The Cougars dropped both games in El Reno by scores of 4-2 and 19-5.

Body Redlands Community College’s soccer team continues to battle through a losing streak which has now stretched to 10 matches after recent road setbacks to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Rose State College.

Body Larry Quisenberry of El Reno pulled a 46-pound blue catfish from Lake El Reno. The catch was made April 27 about 2:30 p.m. The fish measured 47 1/2 inches and Quisenberry said he used shad as the bait.

Body El Reno High School’s boys soccer team played through the rain recently to defeat Guymon 2-1 in its final match of the regular season. El Reno will now travel to Oklahoma City to play Santa Fe South in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs, set for Tuesday at 7 p.m.
