ArFrances Netterville

Funeral services for ArFrances Netterville of Inglewood, Calif., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, El Reno. Services are under the direction of Temple and Sons Funeral Directors Inc.

ArFrances passed away Jan. 16, 2023. She was born June 15, 1943, in El Reno and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She was employed with the El Reno Nursing Home and El Reno Country Club as a cook, and was a licensed missionary. She moved to California in 2015.

Funeral services for Gloria Bellymule-Zuniga will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Concho Emergency Response Center with John Tyler Youngbull and Abraham Zuniga officiating. Burial will follow at the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Gerald Horse

Funeral services for Gerald Kent (Hoss) Horse were held Wednesday at Huber-Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Horse and Ken Wehmuller officiating.

Burial followed at the Concho Cemetery.

Gerald died Jan. 27, 2023, at his home in El Reno. He was born Nov. 21, 1966, in El Reno.

He worked in the oil field industry as a blowout specialist and later as a cook. He was a member of the Native American Church and attended the Methodist Church. He was an avid member of the C&A Sundance and the Kiowa Gourd Clan.

Elliott Tasso Jr.

Body

A wake for Elliott Henry “Big Tass” Tasso Jr. will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with funeral services set for 1 p.m. Friday. Both services will be at Huber-Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Panana officiating. Burial will follow at the Concho Cemetery.

Big Tass died Jan. 27, 2023, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born July 19, 1949, in Clinton. He was an intake specialist for the Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes and a member of the Native American Church.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Hadley of the home.

Delores Littlebear Hart

Body

Our mother, Delores S. Littlebear Hart (Ma’evehpota’e Red Leaf Girl) has walked on, reunited with her husband and our father, Samuel C. Hart.

She passed on Jan. 19, 2023, surrounded by her children and brother and sister-in-law, at the age of 88 years.

Our mother’s life began on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana. When Mom and her little brother were quite young, their mother, Flossie Littlebear died during childbirth.

Harold Ratterman

Body

Wake services for Harold William (Willie) Ratterman of Minco were held Monday in the Benson Memorial Chapel in El Reno, with Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Union City, with Rev. Kevin Ratterman officiating.

Burial followed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Union City, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

Willie died Jan. 19, 2023, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon.

Mark Gilmore

Body

Mark Gilmore, 68, of El Reno, passed away in his home on Jan. 17, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Mark was born to Thomas James and Polly Sue Gilmore in Okarche on May 9, 1954. He graduated from El Reno High School in 1972. After high school, Mark went on to enjoy a very diverse career, working on the Rock Island Railroad with many of his lifelong friends. His early calling brought him to the Hi-Fi, home and car audio industry, spending almost two decades working for companies such as Soundtrak, Mobile Connections, The Stereo Connection and many major car audio manufacturers.

Thomas F. (Red) Coffey

Body

Thomas F. Coffey passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on Jan. 15, 2023.

Tom was born Sept. 30, 1932, in the midst of the Great Depression, to John W. and Katherine Reherman Coffey on the Coffey homestead eight miles west of Okarche. He was the second oldest of their six children.

Tom, known as “Red” by his friends, started working on the farm at an early age, and when not working, attended a local one-room schoolhouse and later grade school and high school at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche.

Bina Janice Chapman

Bina Janice Chapman was born in Okarche on March 8, 1932, to Homer and Flossie (Slusher) Faler.

She died at home in El Reno on Jan. 10, 2023.

Janice was a seamstress and attended Wesley United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Oklahoma Bass Association of the Deaf and the Oklahoma City Senior Citizens Association of the Deaf.

In 1952, she married Billy Earn Chapman. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 2021.

Her parents and an infant son also preceded her in death.

Jerry Allen Darter

Body

Memorial services for Jerry Allen Darter of Oklahoma City will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at Yukon First United Methodist Church.

Jerry died Jan. 13, 2023, at the age of 90. 

Jerry was a faithful servant as a Methodist minister to several churches across Oklahoma, including El Reno Wesley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Daniel Darter.
