Graveside services for Muriel Dean (Curtis) Horn of Yukon were held Wednesday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.
Muriel passed away Dec. 18, 2021, at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. She was born March 25, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Muriel was raised in the Corpus Christi area, later making her home in Yukon. She worked as an administrative assistant in the oil industry, for several years at Alan Merrill Chevrolet and then for the city of Oklahoma City until her retirement.
An all-night wake for Jaeshon Maurice Lime will be held on Monday beginning at 6 p.m., with funeral services set for 1 p.m. Tuesday. Both services will be at the Concho Community Hall, with burial in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Jaeshon died Dec. 19, 2021, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Sept. 28, 1989, in Seiling.
Jaeshon is survived by his father, Maurice Lime; brothers, Jerad Lime and Isaiah Lime; and sister, Gwen Lime, all of El Reno.
Services with military honors for James Otterbine Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at Wilson Funeral Home, with graveside services immediately following at El Reno Cemetery.
James Alton Otterbine Jr., 74, a longtime resident of El Reno, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 14, 2021, at the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City. James fought hard but was overcome by his long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
James was born April 17, 1947, in El Reno. He was the oldest of seven brothers and sisters.
Maxine Hubbs Brockhaus was the definition of matriarch. Born Dec. 27, 1920, to George and Isabella Hubbs, she passed away Dec. 14, 2021, just shy of her 101st birthday.
Before what she would call her timely death, Maxine enjoyed cooking and reading cookbooks, a love that she shared with her family. She could also be found at her favorite slot machine alongside her daughter.
Marian B. Hale, 78, of El Reno, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 13, 2021. She was born to Everett and Marie Wilson in Abilene, Texas, on Jan. 28, 1943.
Her mother remarried Jess Cook during her teenage years. He took on the role of raising her and becoming a faithful guardian to her. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1961 and on June 1, 1962, married her best friend from their kindergarten class of 1948, Joe Wendell Hale.
She and Joe had two sons, Joe H. Hale and John Brent Hale.
Funeral services for Stacie Marie Knoll of Minco were held Thursday at First Baptist Church, with burial following in the Evergreen Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.
Stacie died Dec. 12, 2021, at the Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born Dec. 5, 1977, in Atwood, Kan. She was employed as a certified nurses aide and had worked at the Newcastle Casino.
Funeral services for Jack G. Woods were held Tuesday at the El Reno Cemetery with Rev. Tom Harmon officiating. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Jack died Dec. 11, 2021, at his home in El Reno. He was born May 25, 1942, on the family farm at Union City. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and was retired from Firestone Tire. Caring for his family was his joy in life and fishing was his hobby.
Cynthia Renee Bennett went to be with Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021. She was born Aug. 17, 1961, in Borger, Texas, to Kenneth and Zelta (Meek) Bennett.
Cynthia was a lifelong resident of El Reno. She was a well-known educator with the El Reno Public School System. She taught second and third grades for 11 years at Webster Elementary, and taught second grade 11 years and first grade one year at Rose Witcher Elementary.
She was the librarian for 13 years at Hillcrest Elementary and Rose Witcher. This year she was librarian at Rose Witcher.
Robert H. Revel, a longtime resident of El Reno, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, 2021. He was born Dec. 7, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, to Bill and Ruby Revel.
Robert grew up in Fletcher, where he met the love of his life, Mary Sue Dugan. Robert and Sue married in October of 1957. They had two children, Doug and Connie Revel.
