El Reno’s Canadian Valley Pharmacy has made a major investment to help people lose weight and do it more affordably.

Canadian Valley is one of only two pharmacies in the state of Oklahoma to legally compound new weight-loss medications.

John Smith, pharmacist and owner of Canadian Valley Pharmacy, said he and his staff saw a need.

“There is a huge demand for a class of medications called GLP-1 agonists (i.e. Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy). They are very expensive and in high demand,” Smith said.
