Like the hundreds of onlookers lining the cooking arena fence at the 37th Annual Burger Day Festival, I was eagerly awaiting the world’s largest onion fried burger to come off the grill.

Unfortunately, it was not to open my mouth for a bite but rather pull out my foot and start counting the number of slices the 850-pound Big Burger can produce.

Graveside services for Wallace Clay Jenkins will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 12 at the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.    

Wallace died May 5, 2025, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Feb. 3, 1982, in Riverton, Wyo.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Bellymule Jenkins.  

My brother, Sean Dyer has a pen pal. His name is Bill Edwards and he lives in New York.
