Kailyn Twyman has joined Canadian County’s Oklahoma State University Extension Office as a new 4-H educator.
An Edmond native, Twyman moved with her family to Stillwater during high school. Twyman earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture education from OSU in December 2024.
She worked in turfgrass management and wheat research, also helping at the student farm.
OKLAHOMA CITY — A Democratic lawmaker who is battling breast cancer said last week she plans to try to override the governor’s veto of a bill designed to improve access to diagnostic screening of the disease.
Melissa Provenzano, D-Tulsa, said Gov. Kevin Stitt’s veto of House Bill 1389 generated a “lot of shock” and felt personal even though she’s well through the diagnostic screening process for her own breast cancer.

ELGIN – Out of the four regional sites on the west side of the state, El Reno High School’s baseball team played the host school the closest, only to fall in the championship round for a second straight year.
El Reno reached the title series of the Class 5A West Region 4 Championship needing to beat Elgin twice but suffered a 7-0 loss to the Owls to end its season with a 17-12-2 record.
