Shirley A. Jordan passed away peacefully at her home in Piedmont on Feb. 1, 2021, with her family by her side.

She was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Oklahoma City to parents, Jerome and Angela (Zachary) Schultz.

Shirley was a baptized member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed talking to people about what God’s Kingdom government is going to do for mankind in the future.

She also very much enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, cooking and playing the piano.

Jerry Jolly

A graveside memorial service for Jerry Dean Jolly of Chickasha will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Jolly passed away Jan. 25, 2021. He was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Minco and graduated from Minco High School in 1953. He was a member of the Oklahoma National Guard.

David Gore

Graveside services for David Harl Gore of Piedmont, a former Minco resident, were held Feb. 4 at the Hazel Dell Cemetery in Minco. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Gore passed away Jan. 30, 2021, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Jan. 11, 1959, in Tuttle.

David was raised in the Minco community, graduating from Minco High School in 1976. He had worked as a liner hanger in the oil field and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.

El Reno duo earn All-State honors

El Reno High School’s football program added two more names to its storied list of elite players as seniors Dorian Plumley and Darius Moore were selected to the Oklahoma Coaches Association’s All-State Team.

Both will play for the Large West squad which will take on the East July 30 at a site to be determined.
