Lucas, Inhofe, Lankford urge Biden to support Hinton jobs

WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03), U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), and U.S. Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) sent a letter last week to President Biden urging him to suspend the executive order to close down prisons, including the Great Plains Correctional Institution located in Hinton.

Dear President Biden, 

We write urging you to suspend your January 26, 2021, executive order to close down prisons, including those housing criminal aliens.

But as we continue efforts to diversify our economy, the film industry has become increasingly important to Oklahoma and is still growing.

OU gets warning on free speech

It’s hard to say what’s worse — that the University of Oklahoma is accused of trying to force staff and students to endorse positions they do not support, or that college leaders thought they could keep those efforts a secret.

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), whose mission is to “defend and sustain the individual rights of students and faculty members at America’s colleges and universities,” recently focused its attention on OU’s mandatory diversity training.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Despite temperatures nearly 20 degrees below normal and wet playing conditions, El Reno High School’s girls golf team surpassed its season-low total for a second straight tournament.

Playing in the Putnam City North Invitational on the east layout at Lincoln Park Golf Course, El Reno carded a 426 effort, which was 17 strokes better than its previous best at the 2021 Suburban Conference Championship.
