El Reno bank evacuated, searched following bomb threat over phone

On Sept. 29 at approximately 1 p.m., El Reno police were called to BancFirst, 2000 S. Country Club Road, in reference to a bomb threat.

The threat was made by phone. Police reports said the caller was believed to be a younger male who made references to destroying the bank.

Bank employees and customers were evacuated from the building.

A K-9 team from the Highway Patrol was brought to the BancFirst location

Yukon man arrested in Ada on charges of child pornography

Paul Hobbs, 44, of Yukon, was arrested Aug. 10 at his workplace in Ada on charges of possession of child pornography.

Hobbs was taken into custody after an investigation by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children sent a tip to the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office regarding Hobbs uploading child pornography to the Internet cloud. The images that were uploaded contained children as young as 6 years old being forced to pose nude.
