Body For the second time in three years, Okarche High School’s yearbook staff has been awarded the gold level of the National Yearbook Program of Excellence.

Body Banner homecoming royalty included eighth-graders Abigail Light, Amy Puente, Laira Halberg, Sebastian Arreola, Wyatt Sweeney and Jayden Johnson, with pre-kindergarten attendants Jett Royce and Reese Tankersley.

Body Banner School collected over 420 pairs of socks for the Socktober Sock Collection for the Homeless Alliance.

Body The Okarche High School Speech Team opened its competitive season by hosting 15 schools in Classes 3A and 4A for the annual Warrior Classic Speech and Debate Tournament. Okarche had several placings in the tournament.

Body Okarche High School senior Kylie Bailey was recently named to the All-State One-Act Play Cast for Class 4A. Bailey was one of 11 student actors at the State One-Act Play Contest to receive the honor.

Body Every year El Reno High School conducts a fundraiser called Pink Week. The school selects a family in which one of the members has breast cancer and raises money for them. This year the Emily Whitney family was selected. A total of $7,000 was raised for the Whitney family.

Body Delta Dental of Oklahoma and the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation awarded a $2,000 scholarship to Kendall Schnoebelen. Schnoebelen is a second-year University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry dental hygiene student and El Reno resident.

Body Jake Vulgamore of the El Reno FFA chapter was one of 50 high school freshmen FFA members from across Oklahoma to qualify for the state finals of the Greenhand Quiz Career Development Event held recently at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
