Redlands Community College recently announced students named to the college’s honor rolls for the fall 2022 semester.

In-person learning is better than virtual-learning. There are many reasons why this is accurate. The first reason is that being in-person has more communication between the teacher and student. Secondly, being in-person makes it easier to pay attention.

Riverside School’s seventh and eighth grade basketball homecoming ceremony featured Macy Long as queen, Rhome Alexander as king and flower girls/crown bearers Charlie Bradley, Jaxon Ward and Korrah Mullings.

The El Reno Wranglers recently held their first meeting of 2023, with Jimmy Johnston opening the meeting, followed by the flag salute led by Trisha Duncan and Gary Sorrells offering prayer.

The Underwood Oklahoma Home and Community Education Association met recently at a local restaurant for their January meeting. Members present were Delpha Miklautsch, Bernita Davis, Vicki Duncan, Natalia Valenzuela and Janan Fletcher.

Okarche High School seniors Kylie Bailey and Jacob Hendrickson were named as December Lioness and Lion honorees. OHS December Students of the Month were Madi Vogt and Jalie Rother.

BOY – Taylor and Kelsey Hockersmith of El Reno are parents of a boy, Jackson Lee Hockersmith, born Oct. 18 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 21 inches in length. Jackson has a brother, Grayson Reed.

The Canadian County Fair Board recently approved a measure to develop a 4-H and FFA youth advisory board to focus on quality herdsmanship and livestock advocacy.
