Damrosch Ladies Music Club will be performing Wednesday, Feb. 21 beginning at 10 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.

All are invited to come enjoy an hour of local talent and stay for refreshments afterward.

CV Art Guild to host acrylics demonstration

Body

The Canadian Valley Art Guild will host an artist’s demonstration beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Mabel Fry Library in Yukon.

Ursula Britt will be presenting the method she uses to paint landscapes in acrylics.

She has shown in many galleries, festivals and juried shows, winning several awards including the Patron Award.

She is presently teaching at Healthy Living Center in Oklahoma City.

Guests are welcome to attend.

El Reno High School Leadership students recently volunteered at the Regional Food Bank for OASC Service Day.

The group then took in the Oklahoma City Thunder game.

Redlands releases fall honor rolls

Redlands Community College recently announced students named to the college’s honor rolls for the fall 2023 semester.

Students listed on the President’s Honor Roll have completed 12 or more credit hours and have earned a GPA of not less than 3.8, with no grade less than a B – excluding 0-level courses.

The Vice President’s Honor Roll recognizes students who have completed 12 or more hours of coursework and have earned a GPA of 3.5 to 3.79, with no grade less than a C – excluding 0-level courses.

Underwood OHCE holds gathering

Members of Underwood OHCE met recently with Ann Ricketts serving as hostess. Other members present were Natalia Valenzuela, Bernita Davis, Delpha Miklautsch, Vicki Duncan and Janan Fletcher.

Potato soup, cornbread and brownies were served.

The 2024 yearbooks were distributed and members signed up for hosting lessons for the rest of the year.

Duncan gave the group new information on filling out volunteer forms.
