Southwestern Oklahoma State University students were honored for their academic achievements and service at an Academic Recognition Ceremony held recently on the Weatherford campus.

Among those listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll for the fall 2019 semester at Northeastern State University is Myka Heimbach of El Reno.

El Reno and Calumet are the places to be for good food, great drinks and grooving music. This week there are lots of chances for a night out at one of Canadian County’s bars or restaurants.

A total of 6,966 students were named to the 2019 fall semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Oklahoma State University awarded degrees to a total of 1,761 students this past fall, including 1,076 Oklahomans, according to the Office of the Registrar.

A few dozen patrons could be seen at Expedinture Brewery at any given time over the weekend. Canadian County's latest brewery had a grand opening stretched out for two days. Visitors purchased beer and entered in drawings for prizes.

WEATHERFORD — Over 400 students from 40 Oklahoma schools will participate in the 11th annual First Tech Challenge Robotics statewide championship this Saturday at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
