United Methodist Women Circle 5 of Wesley United Methodist Church met recently in the home of Lillian Ray, with Mary Margaret Coats opening with devotionals titled “God’s Box of Chocolates.”

O-State degrees awarded

Oklahoma State University awarded degrees to a total of 1,761 students this past fall, including 1,076 Oklahomans, according to the Office of the Registrar.

A few dozen patrons could be seen at Expedinture Brewery at any given time over the weekend. Canadian County's latest brewery had a grand opening stretched out for two days. SWOSU to host robotics state championship

WEATHERFORD — Over 400 students from 40 Oklahoma schools will participate in the 11th annual First Tech Challenge Robotics statewide championship this Saturday at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Somebody's blood type

The second annual "You're Somebody's Blood Type" blood drive was held last week outside the Canadian County Courthouse Annex. The Oklahoma Blood Institute brought over two donation buses for the six-hour event held in honor of El Reno's Sara Feistel, who has been diagnosed with placenta accreta and may need blood transfusions following the birth of her second baby.
