Ladies of Bible Baptist Church met recently for their monthly meeting with Jennifer Pearson presiding. She offered the devotional and led in a game called AKA Jesus.

With the weather of late we are seeing strange occurrences in the garden. For perhaps the first time in many years we have an odd assortment of mushrooms appearing everywhere.

Abby Jeffrey of El Reno was recently awarded a $500 scholarship from the Canadian County Association for Oklahoma Home and Community Education to be used during her first year of college. Jeffrey is the daughter of Peter and Kristi Jeffrey of El Reno.

Descendants of Elmo and Agnes Finnigan held their annual reunion recently at Roman Nose State Park.

As the garden was winding down last fall, I noted the plants that were performing valiantly and planned to include them again this year. Fortunately, some had saved their show for the end of the season, indicating perhaps the best had been saved for last.

GIRL - Paige and Micah Green of Binger are parents of a girl, Jade Elizabeth, born July 24 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Jade weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 20.75 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Kim Warren and the late David Warren.
