El Reno struggles to stop Piedmont's flexbone offense in 42-8 loss
PIEDMONT – Russell Cook knew there was a chance his El Reno High School football team would struggle on defense against Piedmont's flexbone rushing attack.
Little did he expect the cross-county rivalry game would become a defensive nightmare.
Piedmont rushed for 387 yards and five touchdowns en route to a 42-8 win over the Indians. El Reno slipped to 0-2 on the season with the loss, while Piedmont improved to 1-1.
